Insurance Verification
Checks a patient's dental insurance with the payer, for one patient or the whole day's schedule, and returns coverage and benefits in a summary you can download.
Revenue Cycle is the Praktend department for insurance and the work between your practice and its payers, with a person approving anything that spends money and your practice setting the rules for anything said in its name. Your team starts an insurance check for one patient or the whole day's schedule, and Praktend returns coverage and benefits from the payer.

Checks insurance for the next day's schedule overnight, so results are waiting when your team arrives.
Matches insurance payments from ERAs to claims and prepares each posting for your admin to approve; your practice's rules suggest how each line is handled.
Calls payers about unpaid claims under your practice's rules, and brings back the claim status.
Follows up with payers by phone on prior authorizations and reports what they say.
Pick one patient or every appointment on the dates you choose. Praktend reads the plan in Open Dental, or matches the carrier name, and asks the payer. Each appointment gets a plain verdict, and where the payer sent no value the summary says “not sent”. Appointments, insurance plans and the ledger in Open Dental are unchanged.

Starting a check is your team's go-ahead for that question to go to the payer.
No. Praktend reads the plan on the patient's record in Open Dental, or matches the carrier name, and asks you to pick from a short list when a name fits more than one payer.
Commercial dental plans. For other plan types, your team checks those the usual way.
Insurance Verification does not change appointments, insurance plans or the ledger in Open Dental. An optional Attach to chart button, off unless turned on for your practice, lets an admin add the benefits PDF to a patient's chart. Payment posting is off until it is turned on for your practice. Nothing is posted until an admin at your practice approves it, and your practice's rules suggest how each line is handled.
No. Revenue Cycle's calls go only to insurance companies.
On each call to an insurance company it says it is an AI assistant calling for your practice.
Your practice's admin can run any check. Other team members can check single patients once your admin gives them access and staff access is turned on for your practice.
