Open Dental integration
Praktend connects to Open Dental through its API. Insurance Verification reads your schedule and the insurance plans on patients' records, asks each payer for coverage and benefits, and returns a summary you can download. It does not change appointments, insurance plans or the ledger in Open Dental.
What Insurance Verification reads from Open Dental
- The appointments on your schedule, for one patient or the whole day.
- The patient on each appointment.
- The insurance plan on the patient's record, and its carrier.

In the app, connect Open Dental through its API.
Run the first check
Start a check for one patient or the whole day's schedule. Praktend asks the payer and returns coverage and benefits in a summary you can download.
