Is there a free trial?
Yes. Insurance Verification starts with a 14-day free trial when it is the first thing your practice buys. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.
How do we cancel?
Any time, from Settings > Billing in the app, or by email to the address in our terms. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. There is no minimum term.
How does billing work?
Billing is monthly and renews automatically. Partial months are not refunded. Duplicate charges, and any charge made after a clean cancellation request was on file, are refunded. Overage is not charged at this time.
What counts as a verified appointment?
A verified appointment is one appointment whose patient's dental insurance has been checked with the payer, and each one covers up to 2 eligibility checks. 300 are included each month, and each extra one is $0.50. Overage is not charged at this time.
Does checking the same patient twice count twice?
Not for the same appointment date. A check on a later day asks the payer again and counts as a new check.
Can we export our data?
Your patient records stay in Open Dental, which remains your system of record. Benefits summaries download as PDF or Word files at any time. When the agreement ends, data Praktend holds for your practice is returned or deleted, as our terms describe.
Is there a setup fee?
No. There is no setup fee and no onboarding fee.
